I was thinking recently about God the Rock. A place of security, to shelter the storm, to hide from the enemy and to survive the floods.
Then I compared this to the rocky ground, place where the seed is exposed and where it is stolen by birds. A place where if any life is shown it is short lived as there is nowhere for roots to get sustenance and nourishment. A place which promises much but gives nothing.
So much better to Build on the Rock of the Lord than to grow on the rocky places of this world.
I made a video of Psalm 126 recently which also made me think of the Parable of the sower. I thought you might like a look. http://easyasfallingoffablog.blogspot.com/2008/11/training-and-experience.html
